Civic Park is 4.14 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, walk ways, playground, and picnic tables, located in the "Heart of Town". The center of the park showcases a memorial honoring the WWII British Cadets. The park is a lovely place to take a leisurely stroll or watch the birds and the traffic from one of the many swings that line the walkways. The park also hosts Vetrans Day activities, "Meet at the Pole" celebration, City Market the 2nd Saturday of the month from November thru April, Sugar Festival Arts & Crafts, Concerts in the Park. Another highlight is the white gazebo, a romatic place for an outdoor wedding.
